Overview: When you have started the operations of your business and you have started to receive the orders for the service or the product, you may feel great resource crunch because the initiator of the orders may not be aware of your delivering capacity, or you may have received small orders from various buyers and now you need to ensure a timely delivery of all the orders. In most cases, all your resources are in place by the time you receive orders but managing them can be a challenge as some of the resources may be outside your direct control , specially the areas which have been outsourced or where you need to rely on a third party for effective delivery.
There will be a combination of in house as well as out of the house activities and the overall result depends upon how effectively the project /completion of task till delivery was handled by the core team which looks after the projects. All the aspects , initiation, planning and design, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing will be managed by the project team. There will be issues which will create huge difficulties which can be solved only if the project is looked after at each step and there is a step by step communication which is generated at each level as the project moves ahead. Any issue should be caught as soon as possible , because for new organizations, there may be no second chance if the deadlines are not met or the service/product is faulty that did not meet the buyers specification in terms of deadline or any other aspect.
The project team should be on alert until the closure has been achieved and you as the leader must know what are the practices which your team or you need to follow in order to achieve a flawless delivery system of the products/services which you are offering .
